Retrace

Identity & Branding
Role: Graphic Designer
Year: 2020

Regenerative and responsible tourism is about — fostering greener, smarter, and innocuous travel experiences. In a post-pandemic world, we have a choice to start again on the right foot, and not do just enough, but better by the environment this time.
Retrace is a concept of a travel brand to be established in India. It aims to not only provide the most profound experiences to travelers but also sustain and improve the ecosystems surrounding their journeys.

Along with secondary research, a survey was conducted to find out how many people are aware  and would endorse the concept of responsible travel. It helped me comprehend the factors that affect the choices of people while planning their journeys and how these choices would be affected in the post-covid-19 scenarios.

Followed by that, I went on to create the identity for Retrace. Inspiration derived from the steps, contours, and layers found within the landscape and heritage of India, the logo takes a minimal form of a banyan tree, a revered cultural symbol representing the divine creator and longevity. Brand collaterals like letterheads, business cards, advertising campaign, and so on were designed.
Process

A part of Retrace’s commitments towards eco-friendly tourism is through the encouragement and use of zero-waste, sustainable travel kits, merchandises and collectibles amongst others.
